Sub: Provision of seats for TTEs/Conductors in the trains-reg.
Ref: (i) NFIR’s PNM Item No. 59/2015.
(ii) Railway Board’s letter no. 2003/TG-1/20/P/2 dated 02/11/2017 (Commercial Circular No. 72 of 2017).
(iii) NFIR’s letter No. II/91/Part 2 dated 23/02/2018 & 18/02/2019.
Kind attention of Railway Board is invited to the correspondence cited under reference.
In this connection, Federation desires to convey that in the NFIR’s PNM meeting held with the Railway Board on 10th/11dl May, 2018, the Federation drew attention to its letter dated 23/02/2018 for proper appreciation of the issue. While the Official Side agreed to connect and examine the same, no progress on Federation’s communication has however been reported so far despite the fact that copy of Federation’s letter dated 23/02/2018 was again provided to the Railway Board in April, 2019, through E(LR) Directorate. The Federation further conveys that the Agenda Item has been pending since the last over four years without finality.
NFIR, therefore, once again urges upon the Railway Board to kindly intervene and see that decision in the matter is taken expeditiously to settle the PNM demand. Federation may please be kept apprised of action being taken in the matter.
